Hey, we are still alive! I just noticed while looking at the families blogs, that I have not updated in a really really long time. Everyone is doing well. Bert is recovering from his second surgery and is feeling much better than last time. He just got back from visiting his brother Mike, who just had surgery on his arm (bicept) and he also got to see Tianna for her birthday. He also had Aden as a travel companion. They had a super time but glad to be home.

So, I finally learned to ad pictures to the Blog!!! Yeah!! We took a nice trip to the Rochester pannel for labor day and lots of fun was had by all!
From the smallest to the biggest, we all enjoyed the trip. We missed Grandpa though, he was not quite up to the hike yet. After the hike we all went to the house and recovered just in time to celebrate Luke's birthday with cake, ice cream and family.

WOW

Wow! Like all my other postings, I feel like I am playing catch-up with keeping this thing updated. One of these days I will learn to post pictures. Well, we made it to the reunion, and it was cut short by the news that Bert had been hurt in the Coal mine early Saturday Morning. Belinda, Luke, Monica and Laura headed directly off of the Mountain at about 6:00am after getting the news from Michael and Gary, Bert's Brothers, who had to come up and find our camp up on the Mountain. The news was only that Bert had been hurt in the mine and that his hip was broken and that they were going to have to operate on it as soon as possible. We were all hoping we would make it before he went into surgery......we did. As it turned out, the accident happened at about 12:30 am and he did not make it into surgery until 1:30 pm Saturday. The surgery took another 4 hours and was difficult because of Bert's strong bones and stubborn muscles. The doctor was satisfied with the outcome and expects 100% recovery. We are all super thankful that things turned out the way that they did. Then on Sunday, Luke and Mary got the call that Vittoria, Mary's niece was not well and that they needed to get up to Primary Children's Hospital as soon as possible, and though they tried, she passed away before they could make it. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family.

Okay so, I have no excuse this time........just living life! Sometimes it feels like the fast lane! We are having a busy summer. Bert and Belinda are both working and Belinda is now selling insurance again. BING! We added a beautiful new baby, Adelia Rose, to the family and one more is on the way. Luke and Mary have two girls and Chris and Monica will have two boys in November. The reunion is rapidly approaching and we are all looking forward to some family fun.

It's About time.....

I guess it is about time for another posting. We have been so busy with work and wedding and what not....we just have not had the time. Deer season came and went and we got to see Luke, Mary and Tianna that weekend and Monica, Chris and Aden, Courtney and Laura.......the whole gang. No one had a deer tag but we had tons of fun anyway. Chris had a opportunity to get his first deer on the depravation hunt following the regular hunt and he SCORED!
With all of the wedding preparations, our house is pretty much turned upside down. I don't know when we will get right side up again with Christmas directly following, but I hope to see daylight soon after that. Everyone is well so that is good.

Well, I was a little slow publishing that last post, sorry it is not the latest, hopefully this will be. If you have visited the Bingham survival guide or the Peacock Postings, they are pretty good at keeping everyone up to date.
Wow! the summer has flown by and been action packed and fun. Mary and Tianna and Monica, Aden, Courtney and I all had a fun trip to the Zoo for the Labor Day weekend while The Men, Bert, Luke, and Chris horsebacked in to Black Canyon for an overnighter. I can't speak for the guys, but a fun time was had by the Zoo company.
I have not figured out how to post pictures yet.......that will be my next lesson, when Monica and I are able to find enough free time.....at the same time. Again they are good at posting the pictures and things like that.

All the Latest

Hey Everyone, it has been almost a week and I need to continue updating you on what is going on at the peacock pastures..........We just finished up the Lake Reunion at the end of July and had great fun there at Potter's Pond. Then we headed up to Logan for Michael's son Josh's wedding on the following weekend. We had a nice trip and got to see some of the family we don't often see. Then last weekend we had the riding club meet here in Castle Dale. Courtney did very well. No sooner was she done, that she packed all of her stuff into "Phil" (her little Ford Ranger) and was off to the dorms at CEU. Our baby has moved off to College.........we still have the Horses and the Dogs to keep us busy. The baby horsies are doing fine and so are the rest of them. We are looking foreward to the fall and the cooler weather. Aden and I have been hanging out quite a bit this week. He was away at Washington with his dad all last week and Gagah missed the little guy.
